we didn't do anything too exciting last night. yesterday we went out to lunch with some friends and then stopped by the hospital to see jen and colin smith. they had their baby on saturday! he is so adorable! 7 lbs. 3 oz. and his name is Hezekiah James. it was exciting for me to hold a newborn...it will be my turn in about 2 months! then we headed to my parents for a last load of laundry for the week and i fell asleep and dave woke me up at 8 o'clock so we could go home. we decided to get a movie out and just relax, so i picked the lake house. it was so nice. a bit slow, but i was in a mellow mood anyway and the slowness was just right. it's a cute movie, and clean too. then it was almost midnight, but since we don't get any channels on our tv, we were just going to go to bed. but dave found an online live video of times square so we watched that. we watched the countdown and then it was at 0 and we were ready to see the ball drop, but the camera switched to video this couple kissing. and they didn't stop kissing. and the camera didn't move. and i was saying, "where's the ball drop?? we didn't see the ball drop! all we see are these people making out!" and they were. and the camera got all of it. so dave grabbed me and we started kissing. so that was good. but i still wanted to see the ball drop. then we went to bed. today we were hoping for the rain the weather people were prediciting, because the country club still hasn't closed. and yes, they don't close on federal holidays, except for christmas. so dave is at work right now, hoping that no one comes to golf. it would be so much nicer to have him home with me, helping me get ready for our trip to IN this week. we'll be gone for 3 weeks, so there is alot to do. oh, and did i forget to mention he has jury duty tomorrow?? please pray they don't pick him! if they do and it doesn't get settled in one day, he has to go back in every day until it gets resolved. that would reek havoc on our trip thursday. well, i guess it will all work out. that's what dave always says. come friday we will be enjoying our day with his parents.
hope you have a great day!
